Flu vaccine does NOT prevent deaths in elderly…
Previous claims that the yearly flu shot prevent deaths in the elderly have been proven false. Although they still claim it reduces your chances of getting the flu, claims that it actually saves lives have been exaggerated. Hopefully the CDC won’t scare senior citizens into getting their shots this year because they may die if they don’t.
What is FACT however is the increased risk of getting Alzheimers if you’ve gotten the flu shot consecutively for 5 or more years. Surprising how many Physicians don’t know this, or if they do, still insist on the elderly getting the flu shot.
