Fish oil outperforms cholesterol medication again…

The benefits of fish oil (omega 3 fatty acids) has been studied over and over again. Reasearchers keep coming up with the same conclusions. Fish oil is more effective at protecting the heart than cholesterol lowering medication like crestor and lipitor. Plus, there are no side effects. On a recent CNN interview, a viewer asked the doctor on the panel if his cholesterol medication had anything to do with his decreased libido. The doctor had no specific answer (surprising). But the answer is a resounding YES. Cholesterol is an important building block of testosterone, and when you lower the availability of cholesterol with statin medications, you indirectly affect your testosterone levels.

If you want to protect your heart, supplementing with fish oil (omega 3 fatty acids) is a better choice than statin medication. Plus is won’t affect your love life!
