So on friday, I’m sitting at my kitchen table and I see this big black animal, running down my driveway towards my garage. I scream ‘Gina there’s a bear in our back yard.’ Everyone runs to the window to witness the sighting. The bear then proceeds to sniff around, rip down and chomp on our bird feeder!
He did this for about 15 minutes, long enough for me to snap a bunch of pictures. Gotta be honest with you, the thought of a bear in my back yard kind of freaked me out. Thank God the kids were inside. As is turns out, this one’s been making his rounds from Wolcott to Plymouth for some time. The game warden told us not to be too afraid, they’re more afraid of us. (Sure didn’t think that at the moment!)
Overall the whole experience was pretty cool and he was kind of cute. The timing was right and we all had a great time watching him. They did a story in the Republican-American Newspaper about it if you’d like to see it CLICK HERE.
